Japan Islamic Trust (hence forth to be referred as JIT) was established on February 17, 1994 with its head office in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. It is a Non-Political, Non-Profitable International Organization. JIT was registered as "Nihon Islam Bunka Center, Tokyo Shi-Bu in 1997. JIT acquired a 4-story building-n August 1999 in Minami Otsuka, which has now taken the shape of Masjid (Mosque) Otsuka. Offices of JIT have been shifted to Masjid Otsuka Building with effect from February 2000. Now Nihon Islam Bunka Center main office has been transferred to this address and has been registered as religious body under the Japanese government law.
